Final update: May 10, 2008

Welcome to April Edition of the News

Melissa our daughter is still in the running for the Avon Walk. She set June 1st, as her personal goal date, to match the required $1800 walk pledge. The pledge can be honored, with help from our Walker News readers.

Phase two, critical server and storage area network shutdown in the Louisville, CO. datacenter, to be relocated seven miles to the new Westmoor facility in Westminister, CO.

The red panic button was not execised in this datacenter shutdown, but was coordinated by prority of server type. Once all severs were down, next in line was our 36TB SAN which consisted of a EMC CX3-80 Clariion and six Cisco fibre switches.

Finally, the moment I've been waiting for as the SAN administrator the disconnect of the maze of orange 2GB fibre from the Cisco switches. The new DC will is comprised of 10GB aqua rated fibre, and the end of the orange spagitte maze, as each individual rack location will consist of a overhead fibre patch panel.
