We are hoping this letter finds you well and excited to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!

This has been a different year. Steve is pretty much retired, with no job prospects on the horizon. He is still doing self-development and updating his resume. I have been learning Tai-Chi and ASL (American Sign Language) this year. In fact, I am in a sign choir at our church and am preparing to perform "Mary Did You Know' on the 17th of December with five other ladies. It has been fun learning something new.

The beginning of the New Year saw me again preparing the tax forms for a few of my clients. It was a bit slower this year, due to the closure of some of the business' I work for.

Steve and I drove to Dallas, Texas for my nephew's graduation from SMU in May. We are so proud of him achieving his Master's Degree while being a hands on dad to two small boys! While in Texas, we got to meet up with Shannon's friend, Laciana, and visit "The Museum of the Weird". Quite an experience that we'll not soon forget. We also were able to visit our good friends, Emily and Tom Buchta. We went sight-seeing and caught up on news of family life. I sure do miss them.

Shannon and Taylor drove here in June to celebrate Taylor's 15th birthday early. This year she chose to go to Water World. She had a fun time while grandma and grandpa walked the whole park. It is hard to believe how grown up our granddaughter is!!

We watch Grayson every Monday and sometimes more. He is growing up so fast. His vocabulary is getting quite large now. We can't believe that he is already three. He adores his grandpa and calls him "Papa". He now loves watching movies, especially "Hop". This year we all went to Georgetown for their Christmas Market. He loved watching the school kids singing Christmas Carols and hearing the outdoor fire crackle.

Our big deal this year was celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary the 4th of November. We took off for California on that date and met up with my cousin, Michele and her daughter, Rachel, for dinner. We had a nice time catching up. The following day we boarded the Emerald Princess for a seven day Mexican Riviera cruise. We hit the ports of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. Our favorite was Cabo. It was a fun and relaxing trip. I tried a Zumba class (it's not for me) and they had two ASL classes on board, which I loved. It was the first time that Princess had offered the class and it had a big turn out. After we got back to LA, we rented a car and drove to Palm Desert to visit Steve's family for four days. We celebrated all the holidays with them and had a wonderful visit.

I hosted Thanksgiving again this year. Steve worked diligently to install ramps on our back porch to allow my mom access to our house as she is unable to walk anymore. It worked perfectly!! We were all grateful for the year God has blessed us with.

Christmas will be quiet for us this year as Shannon started a new job after Thanksgiving and will be unable to take time off. It will seem strange not to have him or Taylor here. We will have Grayson and his parents here as well as my mom, sisters and a great-niece. The tree is up and the baking is done. I have a little shopping left to do and of course the wrapping. As I write this letter, Steve is playing Christmas music on his accordion.

Mylo still keeps us on our toes. He loves having his daddy home and can be found most days being his back rest in his office chair.

From our family to yours, we are praying that each one of you will have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and Happy New Year
