We are hoping this letter finds you well and excited to celebrate the birth of our savior!
Last year saw us spending Christmas with Steve's family in California. We had a wonderful and
unique experience there, especially seeing Christmas lights on Palm trees and enjoying warm
January and February were the usual busy months for Pam, issuing W-2's and 1099's for her clients
and preparing year end reports for tax return filing.
In March, Pam met her goal weight and was able to get off of her pre-diabetes medicine! She
is very grateful for the support of her family, church family and Weight Watchers.
In April, since we were sure our invitation to the Royal Wedding got lost in the mail, Steve
and I decided to fly out to Oklahoma on the 29th. We visited our niece and husband in Tulsa, we
then drove to Arkansas to visit Steve's great Uncle Jack and his family. From there, we drove to
Texas to visit our nephew, who is stationed at Fort Hood. We had a good time visiting family we
hadn't seen in a while.
In May, Pam and her mom flew to California the wedding of a cousin in Simi Valley. There we saw
family we hadn't seen in years, which was wonderful. Our son-in-law was blessed to find a job at
the same company our daughter works for. God was faithful and provided for them through almost two
years of unemployment.
In June, we took our annual road trip to Utah for an early celebration of Taylor's 9th birthday.
While there, Pam sustained a severe head trauma while she was going down a water slide. Thankfully,
she didn't suffer any permanent injury to her brain. Steve and I also attended an Arby's reunion in
Granby. It was very interesting to see people that Steve worked with over 40 years ago and catch up
on our lives since then.
July brought Steve and I to Nebraska to attend a wedding. A week later, we
attended Pam's 40 year high school reunion. It was wonderful seeing old classmates and catching up
on news with everyone. One of the highlights was a two hour hike we took behind Red Rocks. The views
In August, Pam took her annual trip to Utah for some one on one time with our granddaughter. They
went to an amusement park (no water slides this time), bowling and school clothes shopping. Pam
always treasures these times with Taylor.
September, Steve found out that his job was going to change and he would have a new boss. The data
center will move to Georgia sometime next year. When it does, Steve will be working mainly from home
with some trips to Georgia. In the meantime, he is studying for more certification tests to keep his
October brought our son a full time job in his career field. God keeps providing, but Shannon still
does not acknowledge Him.
In November we celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary. We also found out that our nephew
proposed to his girlfriend before he deployed to Kuwait. A wedding to go to December of 2012!
Steve flew out to Georgia to meet the people he will be working with.
December - Christmas will be extra special this year as Shannon and Taylor are flying in from Utah
and a niece and her husband are also going to be here. The house will be full of family and more
wonderful memories will be made. Our hope is to be a light for Jesus to those who don't know him.
We are praying that each one of you will have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and Happy New Year
Steve & Pam Walker
